Training and Development's Operational Resources Division manages training policy, contracts, travel, budget, and other logistical and support functions necessary to support training development and delivery. This position supervises the Operational Resources Division travel branch that manages travel for Training & Development students and employees.
This Supervisory Program Analyst position is located Training and Development - Operational Resources and Travel Division, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Advises management on the operational effectiveness and efficiency of assigned program(s). Provides recommendations to address areas of concern; oversees implementation of fixes and assesses effectiveness of solutions.
Advises management on unusual or complex operational issues. Provides recommendations for, and coordinates the implementation of, strategic programs and operations; monitors execution to ensure success. Confers with supervisor or manager on execution and tracking of work plans. Validates and coordinates taskings of counterpart or subordinate organizational units as directed by senior TSA officials and program managers.
Provides technical and tactical advice, resolves problems, reviews operational status reports and modifies schedules to accomplish duties. Identifies and determines type of actions required to meet assigned timeframes. Coordinates and evaluates subordinates' work to assure balanced workload and timely responses to assigned actions. Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Directs, supervises, and schedules activities for a staff of professionals; plans reviews, controls resources; and approving all work assignments and resulting work products. Performs other duties as assigned.
