This position is located in the OCHCO Office of Strategic Solutions Learning, Engagement, and Development Division. The ideal candidate for this position will be focused and results oriented leader with extensive experience developing, teaching, implementing, and managing career and leadership development programs. Expertise in leading, training, mentoring, and influencing organizational leaders.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will manage FEMA's workforce development programs and offer employees opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and proficiency in key areas through assessments, individual coaching, mentoring, and collaboration with FEMA leadership. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all DHS Academic Program offerings.
Typical assignments include: Facilitating OCHCO courses and curricula Creating, managing, and supporting developmental training programs Promoting training opportunities through various channels for maximum employee awareness Delivering career and leadership development programs to FEMA workforce Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for workforce development activities. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
