This position will serve as the Chief of Environmental Health and Safety for the Whiteriver Service Unit and its Satellite Clinic. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Plans, develops, implements, evaluates, and manages comprehensive Environmental Health, Safety and Occupational Health, Emergency Management, and Security Management programs for the hospital and satellite clinic. Directs the Safety Management and Industrial Hygiene Program, conducting workplace surveillance, hazard assessments, accident investigations, employee exposure evaluations, and corrective actions to protect employees, patients, and visitors.
Manages environmental compliance and hazardous materials/waste programs, including hazardous chemical waste disposal, water quality, facility waste-water discharge, and other environmental health requirements in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Provides technical leadership for facility and healthcare safety programs, including fire and life safety, respiratory protection, radiation safety, infection-control construction activities, emergency preparedness, and occupational health and safety training.
Provides supervisory and administrative leadership by assigning and evaluating work, establishing priorities, developing employees, addressing performance and conduct matters, coordinating security operations, investigating incidents, and recommending preventive and corrective measures.
