The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees and military personnel assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing Security Management Division.
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the 28th Bomb Wing, ensuring that the Security Management Division complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Represents 28th Bomb Wing with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships MAJCOM A2 and subordinate intelligence and security offices, 28th Bomb Wing and 89th Attack Squadron unit security offices, Office of Special Investigations (OSI), various external government agencies. Administers the Physical Security Program for the organization.
Uses comprehensive knowledge of the integrated organization's mission to advise commanders and or involved parties on security facilities/equipment/alarm installation, maintenance, and use. Serves as security program specialist executing and enforcing compliance with operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of an integrated security program.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
