The primary purpose of this position is: Serve as the Supervisory Support Services for Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) at Air University, directing all operations and support activities (military/civilian personnel, administration, financial management, security, contracting, protocol, supply, information technology and management, training, and readiness).
As Supervisory Support Services, plans, organizes, and oversees the operations and support activities of the organization. Formulates program goals, plans, policies, and procedures dealing with the development and operation of Air University-wide and Air Command and Staff College functions and activities. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
Represents the Commandant with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other Air University, AETC, other MAJCOMS, HQ USAF levels, other services/agencies, and DoD offices in matters relating to Commandant's goals and objectives.
Performs as primary technical expert for all Air Command and Staff College and Global College of Professional Military Education resourcing responsibilities. Serves as Center Panel Chair for Programming and Year of Execution of Program Element Codes (PECs) that support Air Command and Staff College, all Directorates and Operating Locations. Performs as "Directorate of Personnel" for Air Command and Staff College and Global College of Professional Military Education.
Responsible to Air Command and Staff College Commandant for Air Command and Staff College and Global College of Professional Military Education complying with AU/A1 personnel policy for General Schedule (GS) and Administratively Determined (AD) hiring, renewal, and reassignment processes.
