THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2651000 and is part of the KY WHFRTC, National Guard.
As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will plan, direct, and organize the housing assignment, billeting, and logistical operations of a GTC. Assemble and review budget estimates for the DOL. Determine funding requirements and direct the preparation of budget justifications.
Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and procedural instructions and plans operating procedures to render the best possible support to the training centers and supported elements. Exercise direct supervisory and personnel management responsibilities. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Identify employee developmental needs and arrange for training to improve job performance.
Render technical assistance and guidance to the Base Operations Manager, and higher levels of command for logistical services, and assist other directorates with requisitioning supplies and equipment. Meet with National Guard Bureau personnel, other agencies, National Guard Commands and activities on logistical matters, plans, policies, and directives. Collaborate with units to coordinate work-related changes affecting other units as well as plan for training exercises.
Develop plans to support continuous training center operations. Coordinate with Army Subsistence Command and other agencies to ensure the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program and other logistical contracts are prepared in accordance with regulatory guidance. Develop plans to logistically support emergency operations in the event of severe weather events and natural disasters. Perform other duties as assigned.
