This position is located in the Support Services Division (SSD) at the Columbia, South Carolina, VA Regional Office (RO). The incumbent performs facilities management, property management, government vehicle management, serves as the primary alternate PIV coordinator and completes other administrative task, under the supervision of the Chief, Support Services Division.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Provides input for efficient utilization of space to include floor plans and design, ensuring proper cubicle design and required infrastructure. Provides property management services including facilities, trouble calls, conducting inventories, and disposing of excess property.
Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the fleet management program by documenting authorized operators, scheduling utilization and maintenance and submitting required reports. Responsible for the administration of the Personal Identify Verification (PIV)system, ensures proper issuance of PIV cards and manages administration roles. Ensures compliance with VA, VBA, and local directives on requisitions for printing, reproduction, and distribution of forms.
Ensures equipment requirements are met for all forms and publications activities. Provides input in the coordinating of building security with appropriate authorities. Provides recommendation for procedural improvements. Coordinates with acquisition personnel in acquiring office supplies and equipment, then stores and distributes office supplies and equipment. Provides input into the development and implementation of local policies and procedures.
Maintains records of authorized vehicle operators, appropriate vehicle use, maintenance, and accident reporting documentation. Collaborates with the Support Services Supervisor to provide budgetary input based on plans for new construction, building alteration projects, and additional building maintenance requirements etc. Conducts analyses to determine facility requirements based on organizational needs, service deficiencies, and appropriate resolutions to identify issues.
The incumbent performs administrative internal control reviews as required and assigned.
