THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPV HR SPEC (MIL), Position Description Number D2004000 and is part of the CO Office of the State Surgeon, National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to supervise and manage two or more of the following human resource programs: Health Services Program, to include Line of Duty (LOD), Incapacitation Pay (INCAP), Warrior Transition Unit (WTU), Active-Duty Medical Extension (ADME), Medical Retention Processing 2 (MRP2), and Medical Boards to include MOS Medical Review Board (MMRB), Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), and Physical Evaluation Board (PEB).
Directly supervises and provides technical and administrative supervision over Human Resources Assistants (Military), Human Resources Specialists (Military), and specialist within the other specialized functions of the MILPO office. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of assigned program areas, ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Oversees and reviews the accounting of funds for accounts relating to the area of assignment which may include but is not limited to: NGB tours, incapacitation pay, medical care, severance pay, and MMRB attendance and requires exercising proper control measures, forecasting, and developing and conducting of internal audit reviews.
Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules. Meets with key customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY CONTROLS Supervisor outlines overall objectives and resources available.
The incumbent is relied upon to plan and organize work and to determine the work methods and techniques required to achieve the goals and needs of the organization.
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
