Job Summary
About the Position: As a member of a survey team, operates instruments and applies surveying techniques involved with the acquisition of engineering, scientific, environmental, topographic, geodetic, oceanographic and hydrographic data associated with the districts missions. This is a developmental position. You may be selected for the GS-04/05 grade level. Full Performance Level is GS-07.
Pay range at the GS-04 level is: $36,950- $48,038 Pay range at the GS-05 level is: $41,341 - $53,744
Key Responsibilities
Determines channel depths of navigation channels, surveying dredged material placement sites for dredging, surveying burrow sites, pre-dredge and post-dredge surveys, waterway bottom relief, identifying and locating obstructions, and the like.
Requirements & Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
