Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: to provide a Freight Traffic Management Specialist reporting to the Chief, Distribution Policy Branch, Logistics Readiness Division, Directorate of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Headquarters, United States Air Force.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and recommends policy and procedures for packing, movement and receipt of DOD, non-DOD, and foreign sponsored cargo in the DTS and for payment of transportation services. Directs, leads or supports complex logistics studies concerning supply chain management, deployment planning and operations, materiel distribution, automated tools and AIS support and their effects on Air Force readiness.
Develops and implements strategies for use of automated information systems (AIS) and automatic identification technology (AIT) in support of DTS operations. Responds to inquiries or investigations from congressional, military and non-military sources.
