The primary purpose of this position is: As an Enlisted Air Reserve Technician (ART), to administer training programs, provide technical guidance and assistance to managers and supervisors within the Numbered Air Force (NAF) on all aspects of the program. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTIES: DUTY 1: Serves as NAF focal point for all CDC waivers, reenrollment requests and two-time CDC failures.
Manages waivers from assigned wings to include: 3, 5 and 7 Skill Level technical school waivers, Time-in-Training waivers, CDC waivers, CDC reenrollments as well as two-time CDC failures. Acts as the liaison between the units and the AFRC OPRs for all reenrollment and waiver requests. DUTY 2: Administers Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs for the NAF. Manages the enlisted training programs at the NAF.
Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies DOD, AF, and AFRC policies instructions and guidance by establishing and implementing training plans, policies and procedures. Plans, develops, and promotes effective utilization of media resources (examples: multimedia and distance learning). DUTY 3: Responsible for overall management OJT program for the NAF.
Conducts Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) and identifies root cause of deficiencies and recommends corrective actions for process improvements. Implements and manages training programs, policies and procedures as directed by higher headquarters. Familiarize personnel at the NAF-level with training concepts, scope, methods and procedures. DUTY 4: Manages the development of education and training instructional products.
Selects instructional methods that involve the development of lesson plans, task breakdowns, equipment requirements, and instructional aids when teaching the AFTC, Air Force Training Record System (AFTRS) and Training Business Area (TBA). DUTY 5: Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates operations of the Advance Distributed Learning, and multimedia education and training programs.
Troubleshoots system as needed and contacts uplink broadcast facility concerning difficulties with video/audio reception. Monitors broadcast in progress. Inventories and secures course material when received as directed and notifies appropriate agency of any material discrepancies. Monitors the overall accuracy and reliability of all data entered into and maintained in Personnel Data System (PDS).
Plans, directs, and controls the Developmental Education Board and Reserve School Selection Board process for NAF and subordinate wing officers on an annual basis.
