This Transportation Security Specialist position is located at Security Operations, Operations Management, Mission Support, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Independently interfaces with external participating agencies and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agency led canine teams to provide guidance concerning program goals, objectives, and requirements.
Provides complex technical guidance to the NEDCTP management staff and often serves as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders including TSA offices, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters and Components, Government Accountability Office (GAO), and State/local and foreign government officials.
Performs in-depth, complex research in support of the NEDCTP and develops/improves policies and SOPs based on changes to the threat levels and the impact on training needs. Represents NEDCTP as a technical point of contact on work activities or projects involving industry, State/Federal government, and foreign government agencies as required to meet program objectives.
Coordinates data calls, surveys, and the compilation of information to support in-depth analysis and reporting.

TSA will not make a monetary payment for any leave forfeited under these circumstances.
