The Office of the Chief Communications Officer (OCCO) is responsible for all aspects of the agency's public affairs and communication outreach activities.
The office manages the USPTO website, responds to all press inquiries, manages the PTOWeb intranet home page, manages social media content, maintains the agency's visual brand identity, provides graphic design services, provides photographic coverage of agency activities, and produces public-facing video; and maintains a photo archive.
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. You are excited to serve as a Visual Information Specialist responsible for supporting the design, production, and communication of visual information materials for the OCCO; supporting the agency's Visual Brand Identity system. You have experience playing a key role in digital communications including design and usability for websites, social media, and videos.
You can assist in managing future requirements and capabilities for an organization's website and multimedia products. You are excited to perform administrative and/or evaluative work related to the development and/or execution of visual information projects. You are committed to serving on ad hoc and standing USPTO committees and special work groups and/or teams to study and identify complex and divergent issues related to web design and/or visual information products.
Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level.

The posted pay range is $102415 – $133142/yr.
