The Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience Manager oversees Semper Fit health, wellness, performance, and prevention programs. The primary purpose of this position is to organize and administer the program, resources, and infrastructure of the Warrior Athletic Readiness and Resilience (WARR) system aboard a Marine Corps installation in support of Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) for Marines, families, and other authorized patrons.
This position works to improve the readiness, lethality, and resilience of total force in all domains of fitness ¿ physical, mental, spiritual, and social. Plans, coordinates, administers, directs, and supervises the WARR programs. Reviews and implements program requirements and establishes goals, objectives, and completes administrative requirements established by higher headquarters.
Monitors and evaluates program performance outcomes and determines program capabilities, designs modifications and makes programmatic adjustments to meet specific local requirements. Performs comprehensive evaluations of assigned programs to analyze needs of the installation and military community. Requests changes and permission to make adaptations, from HQMC, to the installation mission and function of the WARR portfolio.
Establishes new methods of operations, prepares long-range, intermediate, and short-range plans for the provision of WARR performance-based community services. The incumbent oversees budgeting and resource allocation to support program priorities and mission goals. Collaborates with the Semper Fit Director on major expenditure justifications, develops financial plans, and manages the preparation and distribution of program budgets coordinated by subordinate supervisory staff.
Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure the readiness and resilience programs are in alignment with organizational goals. Makes recommendations for local marketing plans and projects for WARR programs through collaboration with Semper Fit Directors and the installation marketing department.
Participate in program outreach and public speaking engagements on the various domains of fitness and the associated installation WARR capabilities and efforts associated with MCTF and its contribution to Marine Corps readiness and resilience.
Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action.
Additionally, they lead recruitment efforts by identifying staffing needs, screening applicants, conducting interviews, evaluating qualifications, and selecting candidates who best meet the role's requirements. Other Duties as Assigned
