Learn more about this authority at: Direct Hire Authority This Wildland Firefighter (Fire Dispatching) position is with the US Wildland Fire Service, GW-0456-8/9 working in the following location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Key Responsibilities
As a Wildland Firefighter (Fire Dispatching) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Perform and coordinate complex wildland Fire dispatching functions, including initial attack, aviation, logistics, and intelligence operations, to ensure the effective, timely, and safe mobilization, tracking, and support of resources for wildland fire and all-hazard incidents.
Participate in multi-agency fire management planning and ensure on-going emergency response preparedness. Provide logistical planning, coordination, program direction, and evaluation of the interagency logistics dispatch program. Act on behalf of the Center Manager, within delegated authorities, in their absence.
