The primary purpose of this position is for or instructing, inspecting, repairing, testing, fitting, receiving, storing and issuing personal and survival equipment as outlined in pertinent publications.

Key Responsibilities

-Monitors and schedules a variety of life support equipment for routine and periodic inspections. Coordinates with military training officers to schedule parachute fitting sessions for students and instructor pilots. Responds to and documents calls involving false Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) signals. Uses an electronic tracking device to locate and silence false ELT signals. -Conducts periodic inventories of helmet and mask supplies.

Coordinates with military training officers to schedule helmet molding operations, and mask fitting sessions for student and instructor pilots. Conducts briefings on the use, care, and handling of life support equipment to student and instructor pilots. -Coordinates, schedules, inspects, fits, adjusts, cleans and performs maintenance on anti-g garments. Coordinates with military training officers to schedule anti-g garment fitting sessions for student and instructor pilots.

-Monitors, schedules and coordinates the maintenance and inspection of survival kits and components. Inspects, repairs and packs CNU-129/P survival kits and Parachute Spacer Kits (PSK). Conducts periodic inventory of parachute spacer kit lockers and spare equipment lockers. -Performs clerical duties in support of maintaining inventory, and reporting results of QCis to through an automated system. Inputs results of the QCis into the computer database.
