Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position, ATTORNEY-ADVISOR (CONTRACT) NH-0905-04, is to serve as a senior legal advisor, providing support for all acquisition activities serviced.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the chief legal counsel for designated Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs) acquisition programs. 2. Provide advocacy and negotiation skills. 3. Review complex contract-related documents for legal sufficiency and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policy. 4. Examine legal issues raised by requests for formal opinions or legal advice. 5.
Communicate and coordinate legal advice with other attorneys and the offices of General Counsel at higher levels with the Department of the Air Force, as well as other Department of Defense agencies and other agencies of Federal, State and Local Government
Requirements & Education
Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, and be currently licensed as an attorney, in active (or equivalent) status and in good standing, with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. The attorney must maintain such bar membership in at least one jurisdiction during the entire course of employment with the Air Force.
