You will serve as a Budget Analyst with the National Park Service for Grand Canyon National Park. Pay will vary based on grade level for which you're selected. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provide summaries and instructions related to the allocation and use of funds. Communicate detailed financial information. This includes explaining and recommending guidance on financial/budget requirements, policies, and procedures. Identify the causes for discrepancies between budget estimates and actual expenditures in order to recommend corrective actions.
Work closely with other park budget analysts to develop financial plans and standard operating procedures for Grand Canyon National Park's operating budget and project execution. Develop processes for monitoring status of funds, financial transactions, revenue projections and other budget submissions. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
