Job Summary

The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist. Key Responsibilities

Plans, writes, edits, publishes, and manages clear, concise, grammatically correct, and accessible content for the Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) and the Senate community, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and compliant with SAA standards. Serves as a primary content management resource for SAA digital platforms, including SharePoint, intranet sites, and other communication channels.

Recommends and maintains content governance standards, publishing workflows, and content organization practices. Manages content structure and metadata to improve usability, searchability, and overall user experience. Designs, recommends, and implements digital communication and content strategies, evaluating and incorporating stakeholder and audience feedback to improve content effectiveness, accessibility, navigation, searchability, and overall user experience.

Collaborates with SAA divisions and stakeholders to gather, organize, and publish information; provides guidance on digital publishing standards, accessibility requirements, content organization, and effective use of communication platforms. Uses analytics and data to assess content effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Supports other Office of Communication staff as needed. Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements & Education

High School Diploma/GED.
