This position is located in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate for this position will have advanced experience in developing, coordinating, integrating preparedness and response programs, and supporting alignment of federal and local plans, objectives and emergency management priorities.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a liaison between the Caribbean Area Division - Puerto Rico and State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial emergency management partners, to support effective communication and coordination on preparedness and response priorities.
Typical assignments include: Coordinating with federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management officials to support alignment of emergency management priorities, programs, and operational objectives. Supporting leadership and stakeholders by providing input on preparedness and response activities, including relevant federal and local policies, procedures, and requirements.
Developing and maintain working relationships across government agencies to support information sharing, resource coordination, and operational readiness. Tracking, monitoring and communicating the status of preparedness and response initiatives, identifying issues, gaps, or opportunities for improvement and ensuring objectives are met.
