Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Home Study Release Program Specialist, you will: Assist in the design, development, implementation, and coordination of policies, procedures, and objectives for Home Study Post Release Services (HSPRS) programs and related activities within the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Conduct monitoring and oversight activities for assigned HSPRS providers.

Evaluate provider performance on a quantitative and qualitative basis to determine whether services are being delivered in accordance with established requirements and child welfare principles. Participate in establishing goals, objectives, and implementation plans for assigned program activities and supporting the roll-out of new or revised procedures.

Requirements & Education

Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
