Job Summary
This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service Position. This is an Indefinite with Right to Convert to Permanent GS-0101-11 PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T0029P01 and is part of the MO Integrated Primary Prevention Program. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.
Key Responsibilities
Serves as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities; provide program coordination and serve as an advisor for the Wing/Region/JFHQ-STATE IPP program.
Requirements & Education
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Include legible copies of transcripts showing awarded degree with application.) OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field (e.g.
counseling, psychology, etc.). The quality of the combination of education and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate the applicant possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform work in the occupation, and is comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a full 4-year course of study with a major in the appropriate field.
OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Applicants may meet minimum qualification requirements through experience equivalent to a 4-year degree.
