Key Responsibilities

The position serves as the Human Resources Officer for the Human Resources Division with responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, planning, controlling, monitoring, and evaluations of the assigned human resources programs. This position is responsible for providing nationwide program/policy development, directions, oversight and for managing the delivery of the applicable service through subordinate staff of the assigned programs.

As the Human Resources Officer, you will: Direct, manage, coordinate, and evaluate staffing, classification, payroll, and benefits programs to ensure compliance with OPM, Treasury, and agency requirements; Develop and implement plans to address changing workload requirements and recommends revisions to staffing levels, work priorities, and work processes; Perform key assignments involving changes to HR programs and policies, resolves critical HR problems, and evaluates the impact of legislation and Executive Orders on agency operations; Direct work through subordinate supervisors, oversees program operations, establishes priorities, monitors performance, and ensures effective delivery of HR services; and Establish long-range strategic planning goals and short-term objectives to support the organization's human resources mission and determine program priorities and resource requirements.
