This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Counsel to the Inspector General.
Processes and submits appropriate exclusion-related cases to supervisors, using knowledge and experience to identify appropriate exclusion-related cases to supervisors, using knowledge and experience to identify appropriate exclusion authorities based on the facts of each case. Executes assigned all aspects of the exclusions process in an accurate and timely manner, supporting efforts on legal appeals when necessary.
Performs tasks related to the management of exclusion case file documentation such as scanning, uploading into Digital Applications Services and Help (DASH) and other databases, and preparing files for storage, as needed. With appropriate supervision, executes assignments utilizing experience and sound judgment supported by knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, and procedures governing exclusions operations.
Gathers information to provide in the management of exclusion case files and related to external correspondence. Performs administrative support to accomplish functions required to meet the exclusions mission. Performs data quality reviews and coordinates corrections with assigned supervisor or mentor.
Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to build investigative case files, complete assignments designed to improve the efficiency of Exclusions Branch operations, and/or address issues which affect the administration of branch operations.
