In this position you will evaluate system security plans and procedures and assist in managing and directing the operations and functions of the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer's Compliance Division. An ideal candidate will be Security+ CE certified with experience in conducting analysis of security assessment results and developing and reviewing documentation to support well-informed risk-based decisions.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC). Typical assignments include: Providing oversight of Information Systems Security Officer's in the development of security authorization packages, e.g., system security plans, contingency plans, etc., and conducting risk assessments, contingency plan tests, and other related security assessment and authorization.
Addressing cyber security risks through preparing, implementing, monitoring, and updating security authorizations products. Initiating, directing and participating in the full lifecycle of cyber security assessments of IT systems and networks. Evaluating and approving Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) to correct findings of non-compliance.
Providing recommendation on implementation strategies and possible policy updates based on industry best practices and governing directives. What else do I need to know?
