The position is located within a CPAC, organizationally aligned under the Chief Financial Officer, in the Veteran Services Department. The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity established to enhance revenue within VHA using an industry-best model built on regional management of key aspects of the revenue cycle, process standardization, accountability, and economies of scale for 20 VISNs and over 135 VAMCs nationally, including US territories.
Key Responsibilities
***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION; YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Major duties may include, but are not limited to: Conducts follow-up contact with customers through telephone, electronic, or written media to ensure services provided were adequate and appropriate. Provides customer support to facilitate the relief of a customers debt by communication and various debt relief options.
Provides education and assistance through telephone or written correspondence concerning programs administered to assist customers and their families. Explains the intricacies of the Medical Care Cost Recovery program to customers and their representatives. Distributes and balances workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: May be discussed to meet the needs of the agency.
Telework: This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
