The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
Applies thorough knowledge of tax examination processes, procedures, and program requirements to independently review, analyze, and resolve a variety of taxpayer account issues within the assigned specialization. Ensures all required actions are completed prior to case closure, including proper routing, documentation, and adherence to procedural requirements. Maintains required production and quality levels consistent with employees performing similar work.
Distributes, balances, and monitors workload in accordance with established workflow, priorities, and job specialization to ensure equitable distribution and timely completion of assignments. A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
