Job Summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott AFB Library. This is a Flexible position, 0-40 hours per week. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.

Key Responsibilities

Shelves books, magazines, and other library materials ensuring all materials are reshelved in correct order and maintained in correct order in their assigned areas. Checks conditions of library materials and removes obsolete/damaged items. Assists with annual inventory, statistics and filing of library collection and follows procedures within the procurement/acquisition process.

Assists with circulation duties, customer accounts and service to include receiving requests and ensuring the requests are filled. Assists in implementing programs, publicity and marketing of library services. Explains library rules to customers and ensures the rules are observed. Performs routine clerical tasks and other related duties as assigned.
