This position is with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) San Francisco Region. It is in the Portland Area Office in Portland, OR. The selectee will be expected to report to the office; this is not a virtual position. This position is outside the bargaining unit. A writing sample may be required at the time of interview.
Major Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Researches and recommends workable solutions and management actions that are based on sound management principles and are achievable in relation to agency policy and regulations. Prepares directives, memoranda, policy statements, and other written guidelines and recommendations for review by management.
Provides administrative support to the Area Office, in the absence of administrative support and/or clerical staff, as needed. Analyzes management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology, as needed. Identifies and reviews data required for use in the management and direction of programs.
Incumbent may assist with planning, coordinating, and developing budget proposals for the agency.
