Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Accountability, Business Enterprise Support Division, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Key Responsibilities

Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Office of Accountability, will allow you to utilize your expertise to provide administrative and management support to ensure appropriate resources are provided to accomplish Office of Accountability's goals and mission. This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

In this Management and Program Analyst position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals involved in serving as a principal analyst and trusted advisor to senior management providing expert analytical support and authoritative advice on a wide array of complex administrative management matters and specialized programs; developing, strategically implementing, and overseeing diverse administrative programs and initiatives; critically evaluating the efficacy, efficiency, and overall productivity of existing government programs and operations; analyzing impact of new or propose legislation, regulations, and policies; and recommending new or substantively revised guidance, processes, and systems.

Typical Work assignments include: Developing and implementing complex administrative programs, initiatives, and guidance to support organizational effectiveness, mission accomplishment, and operational improvement. Providing expert analytical and advisory support to headquarters and field management on planning systems, administrative programs, procedural matters, and resource allocation issues.

Analyzing new or proposed legislation, regulations, policies, and directives to determine impacts on program operations, management requirements, and administrative procedures. Planning and delivering briefings, presentations, and reports for senior leadership to communicate critical information, findings, recommendations, and program impacts.

Designing and maintaining planning and control systems for data submissions, documentation review, resource requests, and management decision-making.
