Key Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Actively participates in creating and executing the communications strategy for OHRST. Strategizes, partners, and collaborates internally to OHRST to advance the Director's messaging.

Drafts and sends all messaging from the Director's organizational mailbox to multiple HCO Divisions, leadership, and employees as well as plans and facilitates all employee townhalls. Works with HCO Communication program manager, HCO divisions and Communications and Liaison as needed to distribute/publish messages timely and strategically.

Performs assignments that are agency-wide in scope and have significant impact on issues, programs, and/or policies facing the business unit. Plans and conducts operational reviews of OHRST Divisions, identifies improvement opportunities and provides recommendations to executive leadership. Conducts quantitative/qualitative and technical analyses and evaluations of programs and provides management with recommendations on improving initiatives and strategic planning.

Conducts in-depth evaluative analysis of various aspects of assigned program area, including policies, program objectives, operations, procedures, and resource use. Initiates, develops, or recommends modifications to procedures, systems, projective objectives, operations, and resource utilization to correct/improve existing deficiencies.

Assists the OHRST Director in planning, organizing, and/or leading all phases of multifunctional efforts to evaluate plans and proposals for projects involving broad areas of work processes, operational practices, and integration between various functional areas.

Projects and studies involve providing technical expertise, directing the analysis and evaluation of plans and proposals for projects, providing implementation support, assessing accomplishment of program and management goals and objectives, and serves as a management official in prescribing or formulating new or revised guidance. Requirements & Education

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to Department of Education Accreditation page. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
