Job Summary

The Management and Program Analyst will be responsible for obtaining efficient and effective operations within the OGC CAVC Litigation Group by providing managers with objectively based information necessary for making operational and managerial decisions. Serves as the primary liaison with the OGC Management, Planning, and Analysis Program Specialists for personnel matters in the CAVC Litigation Group.

Key Responsibilities

Major duties: Provides supervisor and office managers with analytical and administrative support in evaluating the effectiveness of and compliance with office policies and procedures. Provides analytical support in evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of CAVC Litigation Group collaborations and interactions with external stakeholders. Provides analytical support to and confers with higher-level colleagues and supervisors on personnel and labor relations matters.

Conducts research into and evaluates other Federal Government Agencies practices and policies and makes recommendations to improve office efficiency and productivity. Analyzes new or proposed legislation and Departmental policies and evaluates impact on office programs and operations. Assists the Chief Counsel in developing policies for automation, efficiency, and coordination of procedures and other management improvement activities.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Position is eligible for Ad Hoc telework (situational telework) as determined by the agency policy. Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in affect, and selectees will be required to report to in person work unless they have an approved exemption already in place. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. VA may offer newly-appointed Federal employee's credit for their job-related non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.

Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
