Key Responsibilities

What to Expect Serve as a trainer for all training curriculum under Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) to include Readiness & Deployment Support (RDS), Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge and Skills (L.I.N.K.S.), LifeSkills, and Unit, Personal and Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) Training as directed by the MCFTB Director. Coordinate and provide standardized LifeSkills training.

LifeSkills training encompasses the capabilities necessary to successfully meet the challenges of everyday life, the mobile military lifestyle, and heightened operational/deployment tempo using standardized templates provided by Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC). Coordinate and provide standardized L.I.N.K.S trainings. L.I.N.K.S.

training supports families by providing valuable information regarding the Marine Corps such as history, community involvement, pay, permanent change of station (PCS), and many other topics that help families prepare the experiences they may face as a military family. Coordinate and provide training on the UPFRP. Provide standardized training to Family Readiness Command Teams, Uniformed Readiness Coordinators (URC), and UPFRP volunteers for units supported by MARFORRES.

Assist with information and referral support for family readiness issues. Develop and deliver training to supplement the HQMC templates regarding local resource information in support of the information, resource and referral service function. Coordinate and deliver training on RDS training to include pre-deployment, mid-deployment, return and reunion, and post-deployment, as required, using standardized templates provided by HQMC, MCFTB.

Serves as a point of contact for Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP), responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating event activities & funding, based on the needs of the deploying personnel and their families and standard course curriculum set forth by the director.

Proactively works with commanders, units, URCs, other appropriate command UPFRP representative, MARFORRES Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) and MARFORRES MCFTB to successfully execute UPFRP and YRRP training. Distributes marketing materials developed and provided by HQMC and/or MARFORRES MCCS. Plans, coordinates and executes administrative and logistical requirements for UPFRP and YRRP events and trainings such as pre-, mid- and post-deployment training.

Delivers briefs and presentations as directed. Recommend changes to course content to HQMC, MCFTB regarding specific curriculum as needed for their area of operations (AOR). Maintain accurate and complete records documenting each program presented to include, but not limited to: length of presentation, number of and demographics of participants, and participant evaluations in order to prepare & submit report to HQMC, MCFTB.

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include weekend and nighttime family briefs/programs. Must be able to travel to support MCFTB functions. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Perform other duties as assigned.
