Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection Headquarters, Mission Support Directorate, Logistics Management Division, located in El Paso, TX. Joining the Customs and Border Protection U.S. Border Patrol will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to management. This position starts at a salary of $85,447.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $111,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10). In this Mission Support Specialist (Logistics) position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals performing variety of logistics, administrative, analytical duties and special assignments related to the mission and functions of the Logistics Support Center.
Typical work assignments include: Working with all aspects of material management operations at the Logistics Support Center to include procurement, receipt, storage, issuance, transportation planning and disposal Providing local agency direction and facilitates the creation, acceptance, modification, and transferal of personal property records in accordance with USBP directives Conducting inventories and records management in accordance with local and higher headquarters directives and prepares various property reports Providing technical expertise and guidance and performs a variety of services as it relates to logistics, supplies, and facilities management Providing advice and guidance to USBP Sector's components or stations and substations by developing and/or devising instructions for personal property acquisition, usage, and accountability.
