You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the RADIATION HEALTH DIVISON, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
You will Perform liaison functions within and outside the shipyard (e.g., Shipyard management and Naval Dosimetry Center).
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it includes courses directly related to the work of the position: GS-06: Successful completion of one semester (9 hours) of directly-related graduate-level education leading to a Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
GS-05: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of physical science, or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as physical science, engineering, or any branch of mathematics, except financial and commercial mathematics.
NOTE: If you are claiming substitution of education for experience, you must submit a copy of your transcripts at the time of application. Failure to upload the transcripts will result in an ineligible rating. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of graduate-level education and experience may be used to meet the total qualification requirements.
