Job Summary

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the Radiological Control Office (CODE 105) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. GS-09 PAY SCALE: 78,563 - 102,138 GS-10 PAY SCALE: 86,515 - 112,464

Key Responsibilities

You will appraise work procedures and recommend safer methods for radiation related evolutions.

Requirements & Education

GS-09: Successful completion of a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited college or university. OR Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree from an accredited college or university. *NOTE: One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study.

If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. GS-10: There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements. If you are using education to meet all or part of the qualification requirements, you must submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of college courses which includes equivalent information from the transcript (course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade/degree earned) in your resume.
