This position is located in the DEA, Financial Management Division, Office of Administration (FS), Fleet, Property, and Office Services Section (FSO), Office Services Unit (FSOS), Print Production Studio. This position(s) primary purpose is to be responsible for a full range of printing service for DEA for a variety of products to include correspondence, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets, and reports.
As a Printing Specialist, your typical work assignments may include: Consults with customers on print products and advising them on proper regulations, quality of materials, sizes, quantities, and the look and presentation of job requests. Analyzes the price and cost of preparation and production of printing.
Operates and troubleshoots print shop equipment such as copiers, print finishing machines, scanners, collators, guillotine cutters, folders, drilling, binding and stitching machines), and works with various software applications such as (Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite) to produce print products. Maintains adequate supply of production materials, notifying appropriate personnel when procurement of additional materials is required.
Performs preventive maintenance on digital presses and keeps up with current trends in the printing industry for possible inclusion.
