The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as Chief, ANG Readiness Training and Education Branch, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over military and civilian personnel assigned to the Air National Guard (ANG) Readiness Training and Education Branch within the ANG Plans and Execution Portfolio (APEX).
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the ANG Readiness Training and Education branch, ensuring that all branch functions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet senior leader, organization, and unit needs.
Prepares and delivers high-level (general officer) oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolves controversial matters, and convey information relative to improving readiness reporting of ANG Wings and Units.
Applying Air Force command and control, logistics, or personnel experience, performs a broad range of highly complex qualitative and quantitative analyses of programs, policies, and issues which have a major impact on national deterrence policy in the development of long-range plans such as war, mobilization and similar operations or contingency plans.
Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over limited staff.
