Within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation, serves as a subject matter expert for international cooperative research, development, acquisition, and sustainment activities with allied and partner nations.

This position is being filled using Direct Hire Authority (DHA) authorized under the Department of War Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) for position in the Business and Technical Management Professional Career Path (NH). Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Advises senior leadership on international armaments cooperation programs with assigned allied and partner nations. Continually assesses the technical and military aspects of research, development, acquisition, sustainment, and industrial plans, programs, and activities of all U.S. and those nations.
Analyzes policy options and recommends cooperative research, development, acquisition, sustainment, and industrial policies and programs requiring decisions at the highest DoW and U.S. Government levels.
Analyzes policy options and recommends to the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation, DoW-wide policies with respect to armaments cooperation activities with assigned allied and partner nations in the research, development, testing, evaluation, production and sustainment of military equipment. Monitors the implementation of international armaments cooperation policies and programs by the DoW components.
