This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). OUSD for Acquisition & Sustainment is responsible for policy, assessment and oversight for the cybersecurity of DoW's facility related controls systems.

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with the AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for acquisition and non acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisitions positions with Business and Technical Management Professional Career path. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Directs the development, collection of data, and in-depth analysis on Department of War (DoW) facility, infrastructure, and cyber requirements and resources, including foreign government cash funded and in-kind construction.
Initiates programs, actions, and tasks to develop policies and procedures governing the cybersecurity of military infrastructure, facilities, facility and building control systems, and the secure operations of industrial control systems. Evaluates the impact of guidance and policies on existing conditions, procedures, and actions, analyzes program development, and makes recommendations for programming policy.
Develops justifications to convince senior officials, Congress, and the public of the need to meet requirements at defense installations and improve their management. Fosters competition and creative thinking across Military Departments and Defense Agencies to provide excellent installations that support readiness and quality of life, including cyber-resilient infrastructure and modernized control systems.
