This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO). This position will allow you to use your expertise as a Program Manager over a major area or critical program segment for which the scope and effect of the work have an program-wide impact. This position starts at a salary of $118,984.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $154,682.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
In this Program Manager position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals directing a program segment that performs a variety of diverse programs and/or services that are professional, technical, and/or administrative in nature. Typical work assignments include: Overseeing the overall planning, direction and timely execution of a program or several program segments.
Collaborating with heads of other CBP Organizational elements to negotiate, decide on, and coordinate work changes affecting the assigned program segment. Evaluating the effectiveness of the organizational elements in terms of mission accomplishment. Providing information and recommendations on the current and long-range plans pertaining to managerial and administrative procedures and operation's program and financial management.
Providing technical and administrative supervision to the unit. Establishing production standards and preparing performance work plans and appraisals.
