This position starts at a salary of $127,522.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $165,781.00 (GS-13, Step 10). The Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge) serves as a second line, secondary law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C.
8331 (6C) and 8412 (d); duties and responsibilities include: Furthering the Patrol Agent in Charge's (PAIC) operational goals and strategy by directing and coordinating all Sector Intelligence Unit's intelligence and interdiction activities, involving the collection, correlation, evaluation, and dissemination of intelligence information gained through operations, informants, and liaison development programs.
Acingt on the direction of the PAIC and is responsible for all aspects of operations and directs assignments consistent with the USBP strategic goals and objectives. Identifying operational challenges, devising solutions to ensure compliance with enforcement and operational practices, and apprising the Chief Patrol Agent (CPA) and Sector leadership of deficiencies while providing potential solutions.
Supervising first-line subordinate supervisors, Border Patrol Agents, Border Patrol Agents (Intelligence), intelligence personnel, and administrative personnel who engage in law enforcement, intelligence, technical projects, and support.
