Job Summary
The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst responsible for managing the Bureau's budget program(s), to include development and oversight of financial controls, budget formulation, presentation, and execution. This position is located in the Financial Services Division, Arlington, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-14 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform budget analysis on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis to development improvement strategies for overall program effectiveness in future budget cycles.
Provide technical guidance to program and management officials on preparing, justifying, and executing their budget in compliance with laws, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. Coordinate the work of a multi-sector budget team with consideration for if the work may be performed by employees and/or contractors. Represent a budget work unit in cross functional working groups to achieve common organizational goals.
Contribute a variety of written documents (e.g., executive summaries, historical analysis, budget estimates) to support annual budget submission packages.
