Job Summary

Joining the Secret Service, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Procurement Division will allow you to provide leadership, oversight, expertise, and advice on acquisition planning and all phases of procurement and contracting. Key Responsibilities

The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Contract Specialist in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Procurement Division, Typical work assignments include: Provides expert technical leadership and consultation in all regulatory areas as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Establishes acquisition policies, procedures and guidance concerning acquisitions for USSS.

These acquisition policies, procedures and guidance shall be commensurate with the risk, complexity, and criticality of the acquisition or contract action and include pre-award acquisition reviews (e.g., focus on planning, solicitation, and compliance before contract award), and post-award acquisition reviews (e.g., focus on contract administration, performance, compliance, and closeout after award).

Oversees the administrative and human resource management functions related to the staff supervised. Serves as senior liaison with the Office of Inspector General, Government Accountability Office, Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility, and DHS Office of Procurement on audit and oversight matters. This Supervisory Contract Specialist position starts at a salary of $169,279, GS15 step 1, with promotion potential to $197,200 GS-15 step 10.
