This position is located in the Response and Recovery, Response Directorate, Operations Division, Urban Search & Rescue Branch. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading teams and managing complex financial & administrative operations within the Urban Search and Rescue environment.
This individual excels at developing and executing US&R budgets, coordinating readiness activities for US&R resources, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Specialist. Typical assignments include: Developing and managing National Urban Search & Rescue program plans, policies, readiness and operational procedures. Providing management and support to National Urban Search & Rescue resources when deployed in the field.
Serving on inter-agency and intra-agency committees and task forces coordinating procedures pertinent to Urban Search & Rescue. Leading and providing direction to team to manage program budgets, cooperative agreements, and reimbursements. Preparing Urban Search & Rescue responses to variety of correspondence and inquiries from Congress, OMB, and general public. What else do I need to know?
