Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a key staff professional position as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the NAF Headquarters, Technical Training Operations Center, Operations Division, Current Operations Branch.
As Chief, Current Operations Branch ensures staff effectively and efficiently support the command missions and functions representing Headquarters Second Air Force and Headquarters Air Education Training Command as the sole-source experts and authoritative consultants in monitoring current basic military and technical training and education programs, training readiness, and continuity of operations to ensure the health of the student enterprise and identify trends and problems impacting training and education operations Duties Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the Operations Division, Current Operations Branch, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities over Current Operations Branch and Base Teams Section personnel.
Represents, advocates, and serves as the Headquarters Second Air Force, Technical Training Operations Center, Operations Division, Current Operations Branch Subject Matter Expert (SME) on training program assessments and training production metrics with a variety of headquarters, wing, group installations and training and education functional area organizations and staffs.
Enhances the efficiency and synergy of the Current Operations Branch and Base Teams Section and provides management advisory services to top level managers.
