This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Division Chief with responsibility for planning, programming, directing, and ensuring performance of the technical subject matter experts related to environmental and munitions cleanup and compliance work.
Develop, review, and recommend applicable technical policies, procedures, and other guidance materials.

A bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science; OR B.
A bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science that included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combination of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostatistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene; OR C. Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene(ABIH).
Basic Requirement for Health Physicist 1306: 1. Degree: natural science or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus. OR 2.
Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or other education; or certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, plus appropriate experience and other education that provided an understanding of sciences applicable to health physics comparable to that described in paragraph A.
This position is with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of the Army.
The posted pay range is $127033 – $170289/yr.
