This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month.

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the Force Support Squadron Superintendent. The incumbent serves as the Senior Enlisted Air Reserve Technician. DUTIES: Manages, develops, and directs key programs and activities for Maintenance Operations and the Maintenance Group (MXG). Directs the accomplishment of a variety of special projects/studies for the wing/group.
Analyzes a variety of products and reports from Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) taking the necessary action to insure effective workload accomplishment. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Provides technical and administrative supervision over a work force of civilian and ARTs. Represents Maintenance Operations at conferences, working groups, management reviews as well as with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Provides maintenance support for deployment requirements.Advises the Maintenance Group senior ART/Commander on maintenance support matters.
