Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, San Diego Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division, Logistics & Operations Support Branch, located in Chula Vista, CA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Learn more about CBP's mission, core values and careers at https://www.cbp.gov/abou In this Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist role, you become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in planning and carrying out a wide variety of mission support functions, including, leading the sector asset management program and operations. This position starts at a salary of $121,585.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,062.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

Typical duties of this assignment include: Managing the agency's Asset Management Program to include attaining, obtaining, receiving, transferring, excessing, reutilization, repairing, disposal, and retiring of various types of property. Overseeing the coordination of new installations and moves of information processing equipment.

Serving as a local contract technical representative for services or acquisition contracts to include the development, coordination, and execution of pre-award and post-award contract. Preparing special briefings and reports to management to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations for future budget, procurement and travel operational needs.
