The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for the professional and administrative management of the Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) program in the Mental Health Service. They provide direct clinical services with program coordination responsibilities. They must be licensed at the advanced practice level and must be able to provide clinical supervision for subordinate staff to qualify for licensure.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff, clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. Observe workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. Provide informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Develop work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary.
Provide advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Review and approves or disapproves leave requests. Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations. Administratively responsible for a clinical program providing treatment to Veterans in a major specialty area.
Oversees daily operation of the program, developing policies and procedures for program operation, and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN and national use. Provides leadership, coaching, training, and staff development for assigned personnel. Ensure staff compliance with documentation, workload, data entry, ethical standards, and service delivery guidelines. Oversee operations and evaluations to identify, implement, and assess program improvements.
Provides analysis and evaluation of clinical program data to identify systemwide trends and needs to enhance the quality of service. Initiate and conduct a variety of program or service audits and reports, including productivity assessments. Provides supervision for licensure. Provides direct care services as needed. Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
